Mathewson McCarthy’s Major level is divided into two independent divisions, Major 60 and Major 70. At Major 70 there are 70 foot base paths and 50 feet from the pitchers rubber to home plate. The players at the Major 70 level include 11 and 12 year-olds. There is no inter-division play between these two levels. Each division has different playing rules, with Major 70s rules being more advanced and similar to MLB rules in most ways. The roll of Major 70 is to help players with the transition to the 90 foot diamonds in the Senior Division.
